Application Process
1. Information Submission: As part of your application process for any of the programmes, the Institute of International Trade of Ireland requires the following supporting documentation from you:
- A completed application form
- Copy of your passport
- Evidence of your English language competency (usually IELTS, TOEFL or Cambridge)
- Copy of all educational records & transcripts to date
- If you are currently a resident in Ireland, a photocopy of your current GNIB card will be required
All of the documentation can be send to us by email initially however we will need to receive the official notarised translated copies of all academic certificates before issuing a formal confirmation offer.
Decisions are normally made within 10 working days upon receipt of all the above documentation.

Provisional Letters of Acceptance: Once we have received the above documentation, we will issue the following:
- Provisional Acceptance Letters
- IITI Enrolment Form
- IITI Bank Transfer Form
3. Payment: Payment of the first year's fees (€5,500) must be paid in full by a direct bank transfer to the IITI bank account.
If you meet the entry requirements of the course, you will be notified by email and issued with a provisional acceptance letter. Formal confirmed offers can only be issued to applicants who have met the conditions of their offer, and once the fees have been received by us and cleared by the bank.
4.
Full Invitation Letters: On receipt of the transfer we will issue full invitation to register letters and send them to your home address. Those letters will be a part of your student visa application.

Visa Application: Once you meet the entry requirements and have paid your fees in full, you should then apply for a student visa. For further details on how to apply please check the following website:

admissions@iiti.ie1. Do you need to apply for a visa?Not all students from outsise the European Union need to apply for a visa before coming to Ireland. To find out whether or not you are required to apply for a visa please check the
Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Service (INIS) where you'll find information on Irish Visa Requirements and the list of countries whose nationals do not require a visa to enter and study in Ireland.
2. How do I apply for a student visa?Your application and all the documents required (see Documents below) should be submitted to your nearest Irish Embassy or Consulate. The
Irish Department of Foreign Affairs website provides a complete list of Irish Embassies by countries. You can check the full list

3. Guidelines from the Department of Justice in Ireland:
The Department of Justice in Ireland has issued guidelines to assist students in the preparation of their visa application. You will find below the list of the documents you need to provide when applying for a visa:
A - Documents provided to you by IITI:
- Invitation to Register Letter
- Receipt of fees paid
- Medical insurance details will be given in your Invitation to Register Letter
B - Documents provided by you:
- 3 copies of the visa application form available to download here
- A copy of the visa student questionnaire available to download here
- A copy of your birth certificate
- 3 passport photographs
- Detailed CV/Resume
- A student affidavit/declaration
- If you are being sponsored, an affidavit/declaration from your sponsor(s)
- A certificate of relationship between you and your sponsor(s)
- A statement of purpose/study plan explaining why you wish to study in Ireland
- Your previous academic records (relevant academic qualifications and exam transcripts: certificates and mark sheets from high school and university)
- Translated copies of your academic records if issued in another language than English
- Proof of English language standard where English is not your first language (e.g. IELTS, TOEFL or Cambridge)
- A reference letter from your school/college if you are currently a student
- A letter from your employer if you are currently working (this letter should confirm your position and salary.Your employer should also state the length of leave being granted to study abroad, and the purpose of participating in the proposed course of study. If currently in employment, evidence of your salary received such as a recent payslip)
- A copy of the bank draft
- Recent bank statements (not older than three months)
- Your sponsor(s) payslips if employed, or trade licence and tax income certificate if owner of a business
- A police clearance certificate
- Copy of valid passport (it must have 6 months validity from the date of course completion) and a copy of every page must be submitted
- The required application fee
- Details of family members living in Ireland or the EU
Important Note:All copied documentation must be notarised, and official translations must be submitted where documentation is not in English.
All reference and documentation must be on official letter-headed paper, which includes contact details and telephone numbers. Please note that references may be checked by visa officials, and that students may be required to attend an interview.
Further InformationHow long will it take for me to get my student visa?It varies from country to country, but the recommendation is to leave a period of 8 to 12 weeks for a decision from the day you submit your visa applicaiton.
What happens if my visa is refused?If your study visa application is refused, you have the right to an appeal. If you wish to proceed with a visa appeal, and if the college considers it feasible, IITI will help you prepare this appeal and submit it directly to the Department of Justice. A visa appeal generally takes approximately 4 to 6 weeks.
Will I get a refund of fees if my visa is refused?If your visa is refused you will receive a full refund of fees less of €120 administration fee. To apply for your refund you should post a copy of your visa refusal letter to Institute of International Trade of Ireland. Upon receipt of this your refund will be raised, and this will take approximately 21 working days to process.
Study Visa RenewalYou are responsible for renewing your GNIB registration card each time it expires. It will usually expire at the end of your academic year, and must be renewed for the coming academic year of your course, but you must check your GNIB registration card to be sure of the expriration date. To renew your GNIB registration card, you will need a letter from Institute of International Trade of Ireland with details of your course and your course attendance rate over the past year. It is important to note that if your attendance is low, you may not be given permission to stay for the next year of your course.

There is a wide range of accommodation options available in Dublin. You will find the most common below:
HomestayIf you choose to stay with a host family, you will need to decide if you prefer a single room or shared room (with another student). You will also have to choose the lenght of your stay. Two meals are provided each day: a light breakfast and an evening meal. You will also have access to study and laundry facilities. Staying with an Irish family is a good opportunity to experience Irish culture first hand and also a great chance to practise your English language everyday.
