Incoterms 2010 already here
The IITI received yesterday the recently launched INCOTERMS 2010 rules. The INCOTERMS rules were created in 1936 and have been the framwork used in most of the international transactions.
The new revised rules have been updated to reflect the major changes in communications and transport technology that have occurred in the last 10 years since the last revision of the INCOTERMS rules. Two new rules have been added, Delivered at Terminal (DAT) and Delivered at Place (DAP) and will replace DAF, DES, DEQ and DDU.
DAT - Delivered at Terminal: The seller fulfills its responsability when the goods are made available to the buyer at a named terminal at the named port or place of destination.
DAP - Delivered at Place: The seller fulfills its responsability when the goods are made available to the buyer on the arriving means of transport ready for unloading at the named place of destination.
