The Institute of International Trade of Ireland was established in 1996 and our aim is to provide a centre of knowledge and excellence for the practitioners and facilitates studies into the wider aspects of trade with the aim of assisting Ireland's policy makers.
A well-educated and flexible workforce has fueled the unprecedented growth in exports during the last decade. However, both within Europe and globally, barriers to trade continue to fall and with the single European currency, the relative competitiveness of our products and services has become even more transparent. In this context the need for flexible educational systems between industry and educational institutions is essential.
The IITI has two main objectives:
